What is new in version 1.9.4? (22 Sep 2009)

  • When your pc resumes after sleep or hibernation, Yadis! Backup will resume as well. All connections to remote drives will be re-established.
  • When a task has backlog, you can select it in the list and press F5 to start processing the backlog.
    Before you had to right click and go through the menu.
  • You can now filter on folders as well.
  • You can now schedule your task to "backlog-only". In this mode, changed files are only marked but not back-upped directly.
    Only when you explicitly choose to they are back-upped.

Yadis! Backup is one of the more foolproof backup solutions I’ve come across. If you are looking for a simple backup solution that does not require any scheduling, this might be what you are seeking. It’s not exactly Enterprise-ready, but for smaller backups it’s a pretty sweet solution.
