Why should I support Codessentials?
At Codessentials we try to create free software which can help out a lot of people.
Due to the fact that this software is freeware, we only have fundings through our sponsors and donators.
This support is really important for us in order to keep paying for the sitehosting of Codessentials.
So please feel free to have a look on our sponsor page (it costs you nothing!) or make a small donation.
What
can I do when Yadis! Backup reports corrupted xml files?
The problem you are having is
caused by corrupt xml backlog files in the Yadis! backlog.
When a file can not be backupped immediatly, a backlog file is created
with all required info in order to be able to backup this file later.
However, when Yadis! is in the middle of writing backlog files when
windows is shutting down, it is possible that windows shuts the Yadis!
process before it completed it's backlog thread. If that happens Yadis!
will not be able to close the created xml backlog files and they will
be corrupted.
If you are familliar with xml files you can try to repair them manually
(adding the missing tags), else it's best to remove them and use the
"copy all" feature within Yadis! to ensure all files are backupped
properly.
You can find the backlog files in c:\documents
and settings\[user
name]\Application Data\Codessentials\Yadis\backlog\[Task name]
How can I uninstall Yadis! Backup?
